Tuesday December 8th 2020, I went to my Eye Doctor appointment in my small town in Tennessee, and for the first time I seen a new machine that my eye doctor had in his building. At first I didn’t care what the machine was, but as my eye doctor’s assistant started describing to me what it was, I began tripping out. She said it was their new Retina Scanning Machine. It was a 2ft tall by 1.5 ft wide machine, on a table, with a computer screen monitor connected to it. When she turned it on, it started making one hell of a sound, as if it was charging and getting ready to take one hell of a picture of my retinas.
Well I asked my eye doctor’s assistant if this was one of those machines that the government would start using to scan people’s retinas to allow them to go to places and buy items etc. She said no this is a private company’s product. I told her people in China are beginning to get sent to re-education concentration camps for not abiding by Covid-19 rules and are about to start scanning people’s retinas. I asked her, “Is this machine going to give data to our government to tell them whether or not people are abiding by Covid-19 rules and if they are not then they will get sent to re-education concentration camps?” She said no this is a private company’s product. Then she continued telling me what to do to get ready to take a picture of my retinas. As she told me what to do, I said, “No, I’m not going to allow a picture of my retinas to get put into a database! Do I have to do this retina scan?” She said, “No you don’t have to.” So I said, “Then I’m not going to, since it’s not mandatory yet.” I asked her if my mother had to get her retinas scanned as well and she said it depends on if the eye doctor wants her to or not. I told the eye doctor’s assistant to not allow my mother to get her retinas scanned either. I said, “When my mother gets over to this machine, let me know, so I can talk to her and tell her not to use this machine, please.”
